Load Calc is the only tool needed to calculate the maximum allowable amperage of a future electric vehicle charger, air-conditioning unit, or other 240 Volt load. This app automates the complicated process of calculating your single-family home’s minimum electrical load, as based on the Optional Service Load Calculation for Existing Dwelling Units per the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC®) article 220.83(B).
Calculation results are saved as custom PDFs. Easily export or print your report directly from Load Calc. Each home’s calculation is saved for future access and editing.
This tool is simple enough for a homeowner to use, as it includes default loads for all potential home electrical loads. It is powerful enough for a contractor to use, as it allows custom loads based on voltage, amperage, or wattage. Perfect for inspectors, designers, realtors, and contractors.
